As a reflection of moments and
memories from my upbringing, I
developed multiples sandwiches and
a menu surrounding it. You'll
notice that the thoughts from
my past are paired below the
ingredients. Enjoy this
trip down memory lane.

The Top Bread (Cocktails and Starters)

From James

A spicy spin on a classic James Margarita.  Anejo tequila, Grand Marnier, agave nectar, lime, sumo orange, cilantro, jalapeno.
i love this thing.

Though I haven't quite learned his skills of grilling, gardening, or going on hours running, my dad has taught me how to make the perfect margarita. Some of my best memories are making these margaritas with
him. And has also spoiled my
tequila taste for good.

This spicy margarita is my own spin on a fond memory and recipe.

From Lynn

A smokey Lynn  approved sour. Rambha Mezcal, egg whites, agave nectar, lime, angostura bitters.
foamy n fun.

Lynn is the best travel companion. She's openminded, easygoing, and can always makes me laugh. I feel so grateful to have traveled so much with my mom, and I have so many tresured memories of our travels.
The mezcal in this drink is from one of these mother daughter trips, visiting the only women owned palenque in Oaxaca.

From Hannah
mini starters of: olives,
mango, candied pecans
bacon wrapped dates

The afterschool snack and debreif was a standard part of my day. My sister would spill every detail of her day and I held onto every word. Hannah's snack choice during this meeting would frequently include mango. In the mornings it woould
be bacon. And it would never,
and I mean NEVER be garlic
covered olives.

The Middle Stuff (Sandwiches)

Rock Collection

Lamb Meatballs stuffed with ooey gooey smoked gouda, pecan
smoked paprika romesca sauce, meredith cheese, cilantro,
pickled onions on a
baguette. very fun.

My grandfather and I used to
label, categorize and organize
rocks from all over the world. Out of all the rocks we collected together, I loved the geodes the most. The joys of cracking open a unsuspecting outer shell to reveal something inside is reflected through these lamb meatballs that leak out the gooey smoked gouda.

Fresh Cut Grass

Skirt Steak, Chimmichurri, provolone, caramilized onions, arugala, slicked with
dijonaise on a cozy
cibatta bed.

A whiff of freshly cut grass brings me back to spring Friday afternoons in my childhood. Chowing down on a snack of Annie's Cheddar Bunnies with a tickle in my nose from the slightly bitter scent meant the weekend was on its way. yeehaw.

Friday Cereal

Scrambled eggs joined by hash browns, pork sausage, american
& cheddar cheeses, spicy
mayo, chives on brioche.
cool people only.

Fridays were a special day during
my childhood. It was the long awaited day my sister and I were finally able to consume our favorite sweet treat cereals.
Lucky Charms, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and my favorite: Cap'n Crunch. This sandwich embodies the adult
version of the
'Friday
Cereal' concept.

The Bottom Bread (Dessert)

Full Baked Ideas

Olive oil cake served alongside
a lovely scoop of vanilla
bean ice cream.

One of my favorite books
growing up was the Phantom Tollbooth. It's a wonderful allegorical story with characters who conducts color symphonies in the sky and file away vintage sounds in vaults. Best of all it spotlights imagination and creativity. The name of this dessert is titled after the half baked ideas the main character Milo eats on his journey.
